Kalvin & Calvin is a family-based firm with 40+ years of experience serving Collier County, Florida, and the surrounding area's marine construction market, including Vanderbilt Beach, Park Shore, Moorings, Naples Bay, Port Royal, Keewaydin Island, Marco Island, and Everglades City. The principles of our Company grew up here, and have been a part of the local marine and construction industry since the mid-70s, having built and repaired many of the area’s waterfront landmarks. We tackle projects large and small and commit to thorough communication, minimal disruption, and a quality result - every time.
Who We Are
We love what we do and it shows. Collier County has changed tremendously since we launched and the population continues to expand. Waterfront properties are being developed and improved by existing owners as well as new Collier residents. We are pleased to be a part of this transition and in bringing to reality the waterfront living and entertaining dreams of our customers.

Giving Back
Captain Jim Kalvin has been a life-long supporter of the Marine Industry, and an out-spoken advocate for waterfront property owners and the boating Public. As a Charter Member and current Board Member of the Marine Industries Association of Collier County, and the Founder and President of Standing Watch, Inc, Jim has represented water access interests all over the State, including testifying to the Governor and Cabinet on numerous occasions, and helping to write and pass legislation favorable to our waterfront life-style.
Jim’s work on behalf of the State’s “Boating Community” has been recognized by Governor Jeb Bush, the Coastal Conservation Association, the Marine Industries Association of Florida, The Marine Industries Association of South Florida, the Florida Marine Contractor’s Association, and the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association.
Keewaydin Preserve project
Jim Kalvin, A Charter Member and Director Emeritus of the MIACC, worked with the Dean Family of Naples to bring this Project to life. Along with the help of other local businesses, clients, friends, and fellow tradesmen, the Keewaydin Preserve is well underway. This will be a lasting Legacy Project where local charities and non-profits can bring kids out for a unique day or over-night experience fishing, camping, and enjoying this pristine aquatic natural preserve.
